BioBrig makes it possible to plan a heating season in understandable tonnes instead of guessing how many truckloads of firewood will arrive and how much of their volume will be air or moisture.
Reference ranges for a house
A preliminary range for a standard season may be: 100 m², about 2.5–5 tonnes; 150 m², 4–7.5 tonnes; 200 m², 5–10 tonnes. The lower figure suits better-insulated homes, while the upper figure reflects higher heat loss. The calculator and last season's real consumption provide a more accurate estimate.
Why planning in tonnes is convenient
BioBrig has a consistent shape and a declared calorific value of about 3,900 kcal/kg. A tonne from one delivery therefore offers a predictable reference for the next delivery as well.
Converting from firewood
The calculator uses an equivalent of up to 4.25 stacked m³ of firewood per tonne of BioBrig. If a house used 20 stacked m³ last winter, an initial estimate is about 4.7 tonnes, adjusted for the boiler and insulation.
Order with a sensible reserve
A practical approach is to order the main quantity plus a 10–15% reserve. Dense briquettes remain compact, and deliveries can be split if storage space is limited.
Tell the manager the area, region, boiler model, previous fuel use and preferred indoor temperature. You will receive a tonnage, packaging and delivery estimate instead of buying blindly.
